I installed these "groovy" G10 grips by Larry Davidson on my Chip McCormick frame/slide 1911 and found that they offer very secure grips. It has a slot cut in the right panel for ambi safety and flat bottom for Smith & Alexander magwell. I had a chance to try out about 100 rounds of hardball ammo with these new grips and they're about as secure as you can get. All shooting started with the gun in my Sparks Idaho Quick Mount holster, all draws were consistent, the gun didn't shift during recoils of single shots, quick pairs, triplets, Bill drills, etc.
I also carry this gun and the grips doesn't snag on concealment garments, ranging from sweat shirt, fleece vests to Royal Robbins 5.11 vest.
They're available from Larry Davidson and John Harrison of Precision Gunworks.

Once again Larry scores.
I have a pair of his Wyrm on my Tactical Pro and find them extremely secure and they also won't catch cover garments.
About to look into a second set. 8)

Good choice, Simon. I'll keep the ivories and put on a set of Larry's best.

I got a set of the Wyrm grips with an 8 bar cut. Love them. Very solid feel in your hand.

Those looks sharp.
