How well do these grips hold up? Would they be alright on a carry gun? Anyone know if they are ambi or not?

Ivory is very durable. Jason Burton uses it regularly and has no issues. I believe they can be cut for ambi. What is with you lefties :P

I'm not a lefty, just wanted to make sure that the grips from Brownells are not ambi. Thanks Steve.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think bglimpse meant the “Tru-Ivory” brand of synthetic Ivory stocks.

But just in case I’m wrong... Steve is correct I regularly shoot and subject to everyday carry a couple of guns adorned with genuine Elephant Ivory stocks. Ivory is very durable and will last a very long time even when subjected to many thousands of rounds.

Go for the real thing not the synthetic :) Steve hooked me up on the last gun he did for me with real Ivory grips and they really set the gun off nicely

You are right I remember reading something about Tru Ivory in a gun rag. It is suppose to be a "Fake" ivory grip with Fibers running through it to make it more realistic copy or the real thing.

Correct, I was asking about the "Tru Ivory" brand of grips. They are supposed to be the "best" fake Ivories.
