Indeed I won't make it this year, which I truly regret. it's always been a great match and that is one of my favorite parts of the country (except for some Illinois gun laws, but those are eminating from Chicago). The RO's are some of the best I've ever seen.

John, I read the new prize awarding method the same way. Starting this year you must be shooting a Springfield to win a custom gun if I understand it correctly. I have some mixed feelings about that, but, it is after all their match, without them it just would not be. It's not like it's put on with taxpayer's money or something.

Of course there's always a Heinie gun in the prize case since Richard has always been the match coordinator. I don't know of anything but the Heinie gun ever being taken by that guy, what's his name now, that always wins the match.

To show you a little bit of Rob's humorous side-- last year after he went forward to take his prize gun and make a little speech, Rob sat back down. He sat there checking out his new gun as the awards continued...... when there was a lull in the activity for a moment, Rob called out to Richard, "Hey Richard, how come this gun has the same serial number as the one I sent to you 6 years ago to be customized?" We all thought that was pretty funny.

Damn, that's a nice looking pistol John! What's the story on the Caspian MSH? Does it give you more meat at the rear of the mag well for chamfering?

Thanks Dave. Caspian's Race Ready MSH has a "ramp" on the front side that allows you to drive the rear bevel back into the MSH. As it comes, it is too long for a 1911, but can be shortened up just fine.
