pezzulli-

Just as I said in my original post, I was referring to competetions to prove any sight.

As any gun or accessory might be employed in a civilian self defense scenario, the ranges and physical nature of the encounter will "MOST LIKELY" dictate the non use of sights. I myself have adopted a system of just such usage, its called FISTFIRE(of which I hold a ranking in the Tactical Shooting Academy).

Not to take anything from these sights however. Everything has its purpose and uses. As Witherspoon has pointed out. I am by no means any sort of know-it-all. Nor do I wish to come across as one. i couls very well be full of horsehockey.

Another disciple of DR Middlebrooks. His system looks very interesting. I hope to take one of his classes in the enxt year or so. My understanding of FISTFire is there are four different firing positions denpending on the situation and that last of the four inlcudes having a traditional sight picture.

Anyways I like the premise behind the XS system but it just isn't for me. Chuck version is just about perfect for a carry gun. It looks like a nice balance between a rapid sight picture while still maintaing accuracy.

Ned.... your humor is phenomenol! Cracking me up! I love it.

Chuck... great looking sight set up... I can see using those some day on a carry gun! Thanks for sharing that with us.

Pete, don't want to take this thread off anymore. Pm me if you want any further details. Actually, in FISTFIRE there are 4 main weapon presentation positions but firing can be done from anywhere between the guard and full extension.
