I'm usually not that excited about engraved guns, but
WOW!
Beautiful work, John.

I don't have engraved pistols in my shop just everyday and was delighted to wind up with both of these beatuies at the same time. The two tone Commander's frame got back from Metalife just at the right time. I know, I've never been too excited by engraved guns either, but I may have to change my mind. Just thought I'd share a couple of group snaps, before these Colts go back to their owners.

I've never been to thrilled with engraved pistols, but those are nice and the engraving is great addition.

Well here is an update: This blaster has several thousand rounds through her and has operated flawlessly. It has been dropped in the mud twice and got dripping wet once. Admittedly I did clean and dry this with some extra special TLC, but it has been on my hip any time I have carried. I’m not one to “trust” a pistol just back from the smith, but this one and I made friends rather quickly. John Harrison’s attention to detail is rather astonishing. That combined with JR French’s work…well you know. I have taken the new scratches on this gun in stride; It is developing character. And you know the thing really shoots. I mean I just love to shoot this gun. I think I have been searching for a gun that is everything I want; I am quite sure I found it. Many thanks to the craftsman. 8)

John,

This gun is what gave me relief after deciding to go with JR French as the engraver for my boss' Colt. I love wat you did here, and I enjoy coming back to have a peek now and again. JR French does amazing work, and paired with your great talents this is a superb gun, indeed.
