Nedly...I'm trying to clean up my bachelor pad a bit, so I will also send you my Female Belly Lint Collection to add..it's quite impressive really! (Maybe due to having dated a few Italian and Spanish ladies...they seem to harvest a bit more!) --Have a great weekend--John

Actually once a certain amount of lint builds up it prevents more lint from packing in there. I think it was Einstein who formalized the obvious: two objects cannot occupy the same space the same time. Og actually was the first to discover it when he found he could only put one mastodon steak at a time on a hot rock .

For some reason the lint seems seasonal and is kinda light right now. I just shoot it out sometimes but you always risk getting lint embedded in your forehead doing that.....

No new Officers pics but stay tuned for a sweet Springfield EMP .40 in the next few days.

The stainless OACP is my current daily driver. The fake ivory grips on the blue 1991A1 OACP were quickly removed and discarded. That pistol is currently at Condition One with Dave Erickson for a makeover. Hoping to see it again in early November or so....promise to post pics upon its return.

Yes, he does......and do you mean like these??? We had a semi-formal event (wedding) to attend recently so the Gunner grips and matching folder were replaced with geniune ivory and a Masters Of Defense Ayoob Razorback which had been retrofitted with a matching genuine ivory handle by Gary Lollar. Afterall, one must dress and accessorize accordingly for the ocassion. :P

Not worthy to hold Mr Christiansen's lint, but here's mine. Work was done by Levi Peetz from Concord, NC.

Nice work by Levi. If you ever decide it's not grouping well enough for you, have him put a barrel in it-- that was the single best thing that ever happened to mine. It also kinda opened the door to some enhanced reliability. But mostly-- the dang thing is as accurate as many a full-sized gun. I've always found it a tremendous confidence booster to know that the pistol can shoot cookies at 25 yards-- if I do my part.

Yes:

I think this is the way to go recoil-spring wise, on the OACP:

Thanks. This Colt is more than accurate enough for me, now. If I ever do manage to shoot it enough to wear something out, is there a barrel you would recommend? Thanks again.

Well mine has a Wilson, although it seems to me like just about every brand of of aftermarket barrel these days is good. Wilsons have been very good for me in every way...... and I've been partial to Karts because they are among the best for accuracy and easily obtained (Brownells) and reasonably priced. Not sure Kart makes one for the Officers.....the Wilsons are stainless if that matters to you. Haven't used a ton of Nowlins but every one has been good.

I totally agree with the ISMI flat wire spring in anything less than a 4.25 inch barrel length.

Called Kart some time ago and Fred says he does not and will not make a officer length barrel. Wilson and Jarvis looked to be the only forged stainless barrels, Schuemann, KKM are calso excellent choices.

Thanks again. There's a Wilson Combat barrel in my Caspian/Drake that I'm eminently satisfied with. Do I have a picture? Why, sure I do. Pat Linthicum did this one for a friend of mine several years ago. Nothing awe-inspiring, I know, but it's pretty nice. If I ever get around to having the front strap checkered, it will border on perfection, by my definition. Sorry to be so wordy. You should hear me in person :D
