Great job Ned!! Wow, I love the subtle details, the blue is outstanding!

I love how you kept the original trigger, hammer, & safety.

You can do anything you put your mind to, your builds always amaze me,
this first year A1 is no exception Ned! I love these old Commercial Colt's! :D

Ned,

Being born and raised in Texas, the story will have to be about A Texas Ranger or Sheriff...maybe gunning down Clyde Barrow. I'm impressed with Glenrock bluing. Although it is pretty black in the hand, it photographs to look much like Colt's pre-war charcoal blue.

Tom,

I'll be there!

Kevin

Any more range reports? Do you need to stay with standard or low velocity rounds or are these older frames just as strong as today? That is COOL!

I have shot it a lot with standard ammo; not much hot stuff. I would not be afraid to use hotter ammo but I wouldn't want to feed it a steady diet of such.

Thanks,
Kevin Williams

I recently found a different set of vintage ivory grips for it:

Very nice pistol. I would have gone with a 1911 type lanyard MSH. Otherwise, perfect.
