I got mine from a Barnes and Noble here in town. My main complaint with the book is that Pat didn't do a book tour so I could get mine autographed.

As nice as this book is (and yes, there's one on my coffee table, too :D ), Patrick has another recent release titled "The Big Fat Book of the .45 ACP" that you should pick up. Patrick has laid out facts and info about the .45 that are amazing in depth of detail.

Kudos Pat, on both literary endeavours!

Pat, It's a really fun, informative and historically interesting book, but..............I don't think they'll let you have a 1911 or anything else on Vanuatu. :x :x

I'll be buying that book for sure. Sweeney is a great writer and really knows 1911's.

Received a copy from Amazon. This looks to be a very interesting read.
My prediction; for the next 100 years, this book will be the "go to" 1911 book for anyone interested in the 1911.
Congratulations!

I came up with another good use for the book...

Take it with you to read whilst waiting in a government building. In my case it was with my wife (a British Citizen until last week) in one of the local INS buildings during her wait for a pre-swearing-in interview. Most of those around me were very non-native, if you will. Not sure if they were interested or intimidated.

Good fun nonetheless!

I've been a fan of Sweeney's books since I picked up The Gun digest book of the 1911 vol 1, which got me deeply into 1911s, and reloading (I still buy up all the VVH N310 I can find).
His Pistolsmithing book also helped get me started on yet another journey.
I'm just glad to see they finally let you do a book in color!
My wife said I actually let out a little squeal when I saw the book prominently featured at the local Borders. I've also been asked not to bring it to the dinner table.
Thanks for the great work. I look forward to the next volume.
