After re-reading my SHOT copy of "Combat Tacticals" I was wondering if anyone knows who worked over the S/A ML Operator on the front cover? It's on page 89 and 143 too. Front trigger guard is squared and checkered along with a checkered front strap and magwell. Page 154 has got another Operator with similar features but without the ball cuts in front. Those pics have started to give me an itch that I may have to go scratch!

I don't know who worked on those S/A pistols but Ted Yost does a nice job on the one on his website.

Yep S-O, Yo-Bo sure does make a great looking Operator. Just wondering who else out there got press time for their work on them also.

I asked the same question on the 1911 forums site and was told that it was the SA Custom Shop that did them. I don't remember who told me that, but I had a SA TRP Operator done by them and the ball cuts on mine look the same as in that magazine.. FWIW
