Like I said in another post, I recently had a couple of guns in my possession worthy of taking a few additional photos. The first full boat gun I saw of Ted's was this one. The orginal owner decided to sell it I assume for financial reasons. Either way the new owner should be quite happy. Being a big fan of "traditional" or "classic" 1911's this one fit the bill in my mind. This is my favorite if not the nicest custom 1911 I have seen to date. Details are what separates a good gun from a heirloom gun. That coupled with the ability of the individual smith and what he can do. That is why I would like to own a gun from every LTW smith. Maybe I'll ask Ted for a raise.

I thought this was a particulary nice touch. Like checkering the head of a nail.

Hand serrating a Novak...hmmmm. I struggle with Heinie sights and they are already serrated. :?

Apologies for the lint boogers in some of the pictures. I can't see them, but apparently my camera has no problems.

Ya know, if there's one gunrag phrase that I can't stand, it's "high-speed, low-drag".
But it's what came to mind when the first pic finally came up on the old Commadore 64 here. And I can't think of a better description. Neat.

Did you ever see the movie “Dumb and Dumber”? Do you remember when the main character (Jim Carry) told Marry “I like you…..I like you a lot”! Well I’m sitting at my computer late at night and I have substituted the word “you” with “it” and have found myself talking to the screen and saying “I like it……… I like it a lot” over and over and over again ……..I guess I ‘m tired and tweaked but that is a great gun!

Steve,

I have to agree. Your photos are good, but holding one of these fine pistols is a treat; its almost enough to make one place an order :) I think the experience has ruined me for life. A fine pistol made by a true gentleman.

The checkering on the frontstrap of this gun was done at 40lpi, which still makes me crosseyed. The underneath of the slide stop I THINK was done at 40 as well. Ted could clear it up. Nice gun.

My first post, forgive me for bringing this thread back from the depths...

This is my dream pistol... I wish Mr. Yost would put it up as a package deal.
