I found this Series 70 today on consignment at a local gunshop. It came in on Monday. It's had a few parts already swapped on it including an Ed Brown match barrel. But the frame and slide are cherry. Now I just have to decide what I want done to it and who I'm gonna send it to. This is my first 1911, other than my BHP all my other guns are polymer guns.

Oh boy you're in trouble now. Like you I came to the 1911 world only after spending years of playing with plastic, Sig's and Hi-Powers. My one and only 1911 is at EGW as we speak but that hasn't stopped me from starting to toss ideas around for my next project. By nature I don't have an addictive personality but I just can't resist the temptation to do it over and over again. Posting here doesn't help either sort of like a drunk hanging out in a Gin joint. I don't forsee a happy outcome for my bank account. Oh well......
