Last year, Wiley Clapp a fairly well known gun writer sent a Marvel Conversion Unit to the shop and just wanted a couple of things changed.

Like a Ti frame, new parts, sights, etc...During our conversion of a conversion, Ted and Lew or one of them said "we could remachine the whole top end"

And that is how it starts. We rebuilt the aluminum upper out of a piece of 7075 aluminum. This thing really does shoot one hole if you can. Wiley and his buddies put it through several pallets of rounds and declared it a success.

For those of you who haven't shot a conversion they are a scream.

Of course Ted also said, "English walnut stocks would look good on that thing" And that is how it ended. Some pics for proof.

The YoBo rear sight ended up being everyone's favorite on this one. There is another upper with an additional sight as well.

You'd think 'one of them' would learn not to bump their gums out loud.......Image

Seriously - very nice. Those little conversions are a ball to take out on a nice Sunday afternoon plink session.

That is beautiful!!! As a certified rimfire nut, I am in pure lust. The custom touches really fit my sense of style.

It also makes my planned project with John to mate a Caspian frame to a Marvel Unit 1 look kinda pitiful. Still I am going to press ahead. :) I now have an exemplar.

The English walnut grips are stunning, and my wife wants a pair (or two). Are they available as parts or only as part of custom work?

That is a great pea shooter. I also love the English Walnut stocks. I would not mind picking up a pair myself.

The serial number is a nice touch, too. :!:

Very, very nice work per usual :D Do you guys sell just the top end though? Looking and drooling over it on the YoBo site you have it on a Caspian frame which of course is a no no here in the PRK but it would be nice to have one for one of the 1911 builds that you have / are doing for me.
