Well here it is. I finished it off in Battleship Grey (my Navy roots showing), also added a good old 4-leaf clover to represent my Irish roots along with a IPSC target on the slide since I love to compete ( I will be keeping this one forever!). This will be one of my carry guns as well as one I will use in in some IDPA and plates competitions. Notice the Yo-Bo influence and the fact I like serrations, thus everything is serrated. It shoots awesome, with zero play in the slide or trigger. Tight lockup and groups. Parts list included at end of post.

All work other than the finish and engraving where done by myself. The hardest part was fitting the barrel as I had only fit a couple barrels before this Colt. Thanks to all for their shared work as it has definitely influenced me on this project.
Cheers! Ty

Thanks Steve! It shoots awesome, test fired again this morning. This pistol will be handed down in the family many years from now :)

This is a pic of the test target before the finish and serrations were applied.
Cheers,
Ty

Hey Ty,
I'm with you, I really am starting to dig serrations.

Are you in some capacity or another associated to Dave Helton?

Take care,
Eric

Hi Eric,
With Dave Helton at D&V Custom? He did the finish and serrations for me, and has been a mentor for my pistol work along the way. I also will be spending some time with him on the race track this year as I use to Pro road race, still do club racing and teach high performance driving here in the NW for the various car clubs and the pro school at SIR(PR). So yes he is a friend and we have some skills we are trading off to each other. No business association though. We also share a common interest in collecting USGI 1911s and have for years. I mentioned this that day at Jasons shop.
Cheers,
Ty

Cheers,
Ty
