Greetings,
Which recoil spring type (comventional or variable), and weight (17# or 18.5#), should I run in one of Ted's HPs when shooting standard velocity 115 gr. and 124 gr. fodder?

Thanks, :D

Hey - I know that gun!

In stock MKIII configuration, I like the 18.5# as it seems to result in less "hammer chatter" (there I go making up words again  ) on the narrow rib that's left on the pickup rail after it's machined for the wide firing pin block sear lever.

Yours having been converted to MKI configuration, Either rate will function with 124's, but the 18.5 may be on the ragged edge of too much for the 115's. (Depends on the make of 115's, of course)

Hope you enjoy the pistol!

Greetings Ted,
Yes, its that gun, and its FANTASTIC!!! :D
I can't wait to shoot it tomorrow. I'm sure it'll only make me even more anxious for you to complete the two base guns I sent in a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the spring info. 8)

P.S. You were right about the custom thumb safety you make, it couldn't be made any better!!!

Thanks from me too. Ted, saved me a phone call as the recoil spring in my Yost HP is due for replacement too. I have almost 5000 rnds thru the gun you've built me. I love it more all the time. ktm...you're dead on about the thumb safety, it rocks.

Mark
