Commanders that is!!
Thanks to Bill at Alaska Gun I now have what might be (IMHO) the perfect complimenting pair of Yost Signature Grade Commanders. In addition to my 10mm Commander I now have a Sig Grade LW Commander. I love these guns :) I'm a lucky guy.

Hello HaveBlue,

Truly fine work. The first one has a very interesting hue on the frame and on the safety (maybe, it's an optical illusion). Also, the first commander's frame has a very light warm tone like a "pearl" coat on an auto's finish. If I am seeing correctly, can you tell us a little bit more about the finish on the first commander? Thank you.

WOW

Those are fine heaters that you have there. I'd have him build you a Sig. Grade Commander in 9x23 and call it a day.

The LW frame is forged aluminum. I believe it's polished and then anodized. Jason can give us more detail. The thumb saftey does have a purpleish hue to it. The saftey has such a positive "snap on, snap off' I can live with the color. This isn't for a safe queen or investment. I plan on rotating it with the 10mm for edc.

I made an error when I wrote the following:

I wanted to say that the first commander's finish on the SLIDE has a warm tone to it like a "pearl" coat... Sorry about that. The "pearl" matches the frame's purple hue very well.

These creative colors are things that I have thought about, but was afraid to say out loud. Glad you all went for it.

Sorry, no creative coloring involved. Just a oil sheen from the lighting. Slide is 100% Yo-Bo Master Blue.
