Hey all,
Now I know some won't consider this a "full custom", BUT it's my first "high end" 1911, but I picked it up on Friday and I'm in love. I ordered a Talon with the following changes...

NO mim
NO forward cocking serrations
NO serrations on top of slide
Heinie slant pro rear (with rear of slide serrated to match)
Tritium front
Greider long solid trigger
barrel crowned flush to stainless bushing
strong side safety.

I've got 200 flawless, accurate as all get out, rounds through her. I want to say that Keith and the guys at Nighthawk are awesome to deal with. Keith called me quite a few times during the (short) build process just to keep me updated with it's progress. Customer service was awesome, and the gun was delivered less than four weeks after I ordered it! I also want to say that Scott at Freedom Armory in Shrewsbury PA is great too. I've purchased quite a few guns from him in the past, and he's now a Nighthawk dealer to boot.

Sorry if the pic quality is bad. This is my first time with a digital camera (not that I have much experience with ANY camera...)

Nice looking gat. I am glad to see that they ditched those hideous roll marks that they were using for a while. IMHO there is no need to muck up a beautiful gun with them. I hope it brings you much happiness.

Trumpet,

That pistol looks pretty nice to me. Simple, classy, and solid. Have fun shooting it, and may it give you a lifetime of great service.

Glad you like your pistol. Also agreed with badger that those ugly rollmarks are better left off the pistol. A new set of grips would definitely dress up this gat nicely.
Have shot one of these and watched a student put 200 rounds through it in 3 hours and it ran perfectly.

Gman,
It's their own Perma-Kote finish. It's a ceramic based spray and bake job.

Seems pretty tough.
