I found a custom 1911 with the large SA on the right rear of the slide. The marking is in the same place Yost places their Y. I remember reading about a custom make with the SA marking but can't remember who it is.
The gun is Colt with a Kart barrel and looks to be melted but not as much as Clarks.

Thanks
TJ

Black Talon.

I found the gun at the local show so I don't have any additional info or pictures.

The only name to match the initials that comes to mind is Steve Alexander, Richardson Texas. I have no reason to think he marked any guns that way but he did use SA Shooting Accessories.
