Hey guys. Anyone have these installed on one of their guns? I really like the way they look but would be interested in hearing your oppinions after actually using them.

I have them on several pistols. They are fast and offer a great sight picture.

I've heard them described as offering a sight picture similar to the Heinie sights, but without the required cutting on the slide.

Here is a photo of one of my pistols with the retro rear sight...

I love them. They look great. I like the sight picture.

I've got a gun with them, and am waiting on a 2nd gun that will have them, too.

I think they are basically unbeatable if you want sights that have a classic look, but still give you a good sight picture.

This is exactly what I am looking for. I am a bit of a traditionalist ("Old Fuddy Duddy" in my wifes words) whan it comes to my 1911s but I would like something a bit more substantial than the sights that came on them without drastically altering the look of the gun.

Thanks guys. Guess I will have to call YoBo!

After getting one of Yost's guns with them on, I'm hooked. I'm into the "stock" look as well. I have a Delta Elite that I would've put these on, but previous owner already had a Novak cut so I'll put on Heinie slant pro's instead.

I love the sight picture and the look.

I just bought a Colt LWC off the for sale section here that had been worked over by Ted. It has those sights on it, and I love them. The sight picture is just as good as the Heinies on one of my 5" guns, with a more classic look. They will be going on more of my guns soon.

I've got a rear on my wife's Colt and the sight picture is just as good as the Bomars on my gun. My first, second, and third choice for a fixed sight for my own personal use. And I usually recommend them to my customers as well.

Hey Ted (or anyone),
Can this sight be used if a gun has a Novak cut or is there a lot of work needed to "fix" the Novak cut to make use of this sight?

Hopefully, I can speak for Ted here. I think he would say, keep the Novak's in the Novak cut. Welding up that slide to put YoBo retros would be more work on our part and money and time on your part for it to be worth it. Wait til' ya get the next one built and get the retros. My next gun will have YoBo's on it.

Getting the chance to look at the various sights quite often I find these certainly as fast as the others and in some cases a bit more durable than say a Bo-Mar which you can say about most or all fixed sights. My interest is in the ability to conceal a gun with these on them. For some a larger fixed rear can be an issue on concealment. No, I don't want to start a rant on how many of us have no problem concealing various sights. Just an observation on a very compact high visibility fixed sight.

Well, I already have some with these -- love them. That's why I'd love to have them on my DE, but that already has a Novak cut. Guess I'll go with Heinie slant pros.

I have guns with Novak low-mounts and Yo-Bo retro rear sights, and both are great for concealed carry. I would certainly have a hard time deciding on which one for my (next) gun.

Thanks for all the insights guys. I have one final round of tuition payments to make then some of my money will again be Mine to spend on such things as my guns, and At Least one is destined for a trip to YoBo!

I've got a Commander with a Novak night sight on the front and a McCormick drop in on the rear............will the Yost work with the front sight and sight up correctly?

I Just picked up nice little rocket with these sights already on it, and I can honestly say they offer a sight picture every bit as good as a set of Heinie's or Novak's in my opinion.

I think the beauty of these is that they offer the traditional lines of the slide with the enhanced sight picture.
