Hi Everyone,

First let me say, Great Forum!

Second, looking at all the beautiful pictures is going to send me straight to the poor-house!

Below is a picture of my Yost .38 Super Combat Commander. Sorry for the picture quality. The gun is perfect in everyway as you would expect from Ted.

I'm addicted! Ted has my NRM 1991 now, I just bought a nice Belgium Hi-Power to send him. I recently recieved my other Hi-Power back from Don Williams and have a Delta to send him next. Well to use my own quote, "You can always get it back working" and running a Harley dealership isn't a bad way to make a buck!

Thanks to all!

Brian

Very nice! As usual, Ted's work is outstanding. What are those grips made from? Ivory? Stag?

I wish I had listened to Ted's advice earlier, which was to concentrate more on 1911s and less on other guns (which is what I'm doing now). I've seen the light brother!

Hi Dave,

The grips are Bark Ivory. I had been looking for the right grips for this gun and had a bought a different pair of Ivory panels and sent them to Ted. When I found these I had to have them. The lines are very balanced so to speak, over the entire panel and both grips are covered evenly.

You definitely found them! I really like the contrasting dark lines in them.

Brian,
Welcome to the forum....nice to have you here. I remember the gun and the grips coming through the shop. I also remember trying to figure out how to get my hands on both. Those grips are great and really compliment the Commander you have there. There is a somewhat similar pair in the shop. Let's see where those end up.

Hey Steve - Do you have a brother? I'd love to have someone help out at the shop and then owe me money at the end of the month! It's hard working at a candy store without eating all the candy, isn't it?

It gets to be sort of a hassle watching guns go out the door that I would love to have. For example, a 10mm Ted is in the middle of, a couple of rifles Lew and Micha are almost done with, and finally a Ti and Damascus gun Ted is almost finished with. Never thought I would like Damascus until I saw this one put together.....very cool. 8)

Still a sucker for the traditional clean 5" carry gun though. Can't see enough of those. And yes I have a brother who is an artist and wouldn't be much help at a shop unfortunately. Besides being an artist he usually doesn't have a ton of cash at the end of the month. :?

Hi Steve,

I'm curious to see the gun those grips end up on as well!?

I'd love to see the Ti/Damascus gun as well. I've seen the Damascus slides finished a couple different ways and wonder how Ted's doing it. A Damascus slide gun is on my want list!

I don't know if you remember but, I bought a S&W 442 from you for the "Little Woman".

Take Care,

Brian

P.S. Keep an eye on my NRM 1991, after all your post on Pistolsmith.com earlier this year was the inspiration!
