It finally arrived. After the longest 5 months of my life my first truly custom firearm arrived this morning. I had my Colt Series 70 turned into a perfect fighting handgun with a bit of class. I had the artisians at Yost-Bonitz add a few extras to their basic 1* package: polished slide flats, fitted ivory grips and so I could never sell it my ininials etched into the frame. I have yet to shoot it as my local range is not yet open, but my 1st impression is thus far undescribable. The gun is far and beyond what I origionally expected. The polished slide flats and the ivory grips give it that extra added class. I am now off to the range. A range report and pics will follow as soon as possible.

Congratulations! I am sure you will enjoy your new pistol for many years. I am also glad to that your 1* is everything you expected, and more! It sounds very classy 8)

We would love to see photos when you get a chance.

Nate, It's not all there yet....

I forgot to put the cocobolo grips in the box - they're on the way via Priority mail.

Serves Lew right - he knows better than to let me do things in the shop that are above my ability ceiling :lol:

Thanks Ted. I had not yet realized that they weren't there. That is one less thing I have to ask about when I call to rave about the gun on Monday.
