I just got this back from Black-T. The customer had a few external upgrades done- 20 lpi checkering on the front strap, S&A mag well blended to frame well and beveled on exterior & checkering sharpened, 30 lpi top strap serrations done around the radius, carry bevel and a little internal tuning.

Now that is a good looking Kimber. Looks like he got exactly what he wanted and more. Nice photos too.

Great looking pistol John...again.

Looks like if this pistol ever comes out of the owners hands during use, it's taking some hide with it :o

Nice looking upgrades and you're picture taking skill is catching up to your metal hacking skill too.
Those grips are not for a softy like me though, they feel like grabbing a pine cone.

John,
Real nice looking. I have a question. Is the ambi safety that Kimber uses on those Warriors similar to the Kings Gunworks design?
Best regards,
Jeffro

Hi Jeffro,
Thanks for the kind words. The biggest thing they have in common with the King ambi is the retention method for the right hand half. I don't know that the retention method is superior to the original Swenson design, when properly executed and fit to the gun. I'm not afraid to leave it in place though, either.

I did a bunch of sculpting on both outer rear sides as I found them very unfriendly to my first thumb knuckle and web.
