For sure the Yo-Bo shop is known mostly for 1911s and Browning Hi-Powers but every once and again Ted gets to do something really out of the box. This particular something came in the form of a Sig P210. Long applauded for their “rifle like” accuracy, the P210 has almost a cult like following among many knowledgeable shooters and improving on one is something many think cannot be done.

I started hearing about this project some time ago. Ted would tell me about the Sig 210 he had in the shop and how he was gonna’ change this and that, contour here and there, trim about this and around that, and basically make a dead nuts accurate gun just a bit easier on the eyes and good deal more user friendly. Now with the project complete and fresh out of the bluing tanks there’s no question in my mind that Ted did what sought to do.

A pretty good gun to begin with, here are a few of the mods’ that Ted added to help increase the charm of the piece:

- 30lpi front strap checkering
- Beveled mag well
- Beveled and trimmed dustcover
- Re-contoured slide profile
- Hand made beavertail
- Hand made thumb safety extension
- Serrated slide stop
- Flattened and serrated slide top
- Gold line front sight
- Yo-Bo Professional Grade rear sight

Man.....that is just awesome!!!
Others have customized the 210 in the past, but nothing like this.
This is one that is going to turn some heads.

Ted,

Just when I think I have seen it all you go and create a new piece of magic. (I think you have been talking to Ned too much)

Kidding aside you have taken an ugly duckling and turned it into a swan.

You have every right to feel very proud of this work.

Gary

Wow, that's exquisite. Ted, I hope you bring this one to the SHOT show. I've always like to see a rare full house 210. I wish Sig would wise up and make more of these and make them more affordable.

I have always been partial to the S&W 952 when it comes to target 9MM but that is such a nice 210 I might reconsider. The one thing that always got me with the 210 was hammer bite. It looks like that wouldn't be an issue with this one. Nice work.

VERY nice work Ted, but I can't see why you would waste all that time and effort on such a cheap piece. Could have just sent it up the hill. I'd have found someone to take it.

That is just TOO COOL! I remember a thread were Ted posted that 1911's weren't what he was best at, but that's were the market is. It's very neat to see some examples of his "other gun" talents.
What an artist!

I can't come and look here anymore. I have added too much to the AZ tax system already.

INCREDIBLE.

Ya never know what goes on inside his bean. And some of you were afraid of carving up your cherished Commercial Colt. Shame on you. 8)

That came out great.

I'm going to start calling you 210TED, that is very very nice. I really like the way you worked the sights.

Pretty cool beavertail as well. Not easy to make one grow there.

Yeah, that's been said before :P

You might think I'd draw the line at something as cool as a first year production FN Supreme Mauser 98, especially if it had a one-digit serial number that was lower than two...

But maybe not - time will tell

Ted my dear dear friend,

Since I won't be able to make it to Shot Show you could send your Sig my way so I can watch over it and keep all the finger prints off of it. You know all those knuckle heads you run with will be drooling and maybe some other distasteful things while fondling your pistol. You don't want that do ya????

Just a kind offer from your friend to the East.!

Gary

By the way- that was meant as a good thing!

I'd like to see more of this sort of thing. Too bad I don't have anything really unique and a pile of money. I'd like to send something like that to Y-B along with a blank check.
