Kimber lists the specs of the dovetail on their front sights as
60 deg. x .3414 x .0745. Novaks are 65 deg x.330 x.070. Heinie doesn't list any specs that I can find. I have an early Series 1 Clackamas roll-marked gun. Have the dovetail dimensions changed over the years? I think the early Mc Cormick front sight had a Novak sized dovetail. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Kirk,
I've done more than a few Novak/Kimber sight swaps over the years.
These were Novak front sights for the Kimber, supplied by the customer, marked as such, in the original packaging.
8.75 times outta 10 I wind up remachining the existing dovetail to suit.
A little machining sure produces better results than a little filing! :P
