Bob was with Accurate Plating if some folks don't know and he did some nice work.

A friend of mine bumped into him at the FL state match, happened to have a Delta Elite on him - gave it to Bob at the match, he hardchromed it, crowned the barrel, tightened the slide to frame fit, did a triggerjob on a new STI hammer, put on new sights, stippled the front strap and dehorned it - had it back to the customer in 10 days.

I ran into the APW booth at the Lakeland gun show and I heard that Bob had retired.

On another board, I heard that he had moved to Alabama.

Anyone know what's REALLY going on?

Bob is moving to Alabama, I talked to him a while ago and he told me himself.

It's up on the front page of his site also.

... about a year ago at a gun show from a local refinisher. Didn't believe it at the time. It figures that now that I'm running all over the world on active duty, that he would move in right next door (practically speaking)! Well, at least when I get back home, I can visit to check out his work first hand and maybe drop off some work for him to do.

Thank you for the information, cardboardkiller.
I was wondering myself. I sent a Caspian Custom to him a while back to hardchrome the frame and master blue the slide. It was magnificent work!
Bob even called me on a detail that was so small, I wouldn't have noticed.
To top it off, his turn around time is very good as well.
