Hello,

Is there any product you can put on Micarta grips to bring out a luster or shine. I have a set that are beautiful, but a bit dull. I guess I like shiney things.....

Thanks

Jerry

Some micarta will take an oil finish like Danish Oil. Can try paste wax as well. I've used both successfully.

Try some ArmorAll, looks good for a while at least.

Wont that make the grips exceedingly slippery?

Not usually. Smooth blasted micarta takes WD 40 or Armor All and soaks it up. If you contact John Van Zyck at VZ grips he can tell you exaclty what to put on the micarta. Between linen, paper, and canvas, the only one that I remember holding color really well is the paper. However, canvas and linen are stronger, IF I remember right.

Steve,

I cant speak for holding color better but based on John VZ and an earlier post:

John VZ wrote: "* Canvas is the strongest of the three followed by Linen, than Paper. Paper is still overkill."

So you can loose your mind and still have a pretty good memory....
