I think this one is a good candidate for Yo-Bo. I believe it is 70's vintage (CLW035066). Havent found my Wilson date book yet. It was original except for slide stop and MSH when I picked it up at the OKC show this past weekend from a small town pawnbroker. I changed out the plastic MSH to a checkered Baer unit I had and put an old junk drawer slide stop in it to get rid of the extended unit it sported. Dropped the C&S warp speed and Dlask trigger in it for fun. Hell the slide already has the begining of a good carry melt (wear bevel). I think it has potential.

That's nice! Definitely a candidate for a custom job. I have its twin on Don Wiliams' bench right now for a complete makeover. There's nothing like a Colt LW Commander for an all-day carry gun.

I'd say it has potential! That could be a pretty nice one.
OK, it already is.
Of all the 1911 configurations I've had, I've never had a LW Commander. That has to change.

I have 3. The one in this post, a SS S80 45 by Marc Morganti and a 1967 9mm with some work by Behlert. They are a pleasure to carry.

I think it has a lot of potential, there are some serious idiot marks from the slide release. I have one just like it that I have been wanting to send out to the Yo-Bo guys for some work.
