There was a "Guns" magazine a few years back that had one in it. It was a pretty good article with a lot of pictures as I recall. I've seen the article online somewhere...maybe at Mr Garthwaite's website.

I've not had the pleasure of owning one of Big Jim Garthwaite's P35's, but I have 3 1911's that he has done for me, and planning 2 more to send him. His work is outstanding.....a true craftsman, with an indepth understanding of what is needed in a handgun.

Here is my most recent from Jim,....a KIMBER Stainless Classic in .40, converted to 10mm, all the MIM converted to tool steel, Hienie Sites with Gold bead front, and 20 lpi wrap around serrations.

How did he convert the MIM to tool steel?

Just funnin' with ya. I like the serrations and any man that has a .40 converted to 10mm is a true man in my book. Nice piece.

Here is a photo I have of a Garthwaite HP, I don't know anything about it though, just one I saved from one of the forums.

Hmmm....speaking of conversios, I wonder if we could take a .40 Hi-Power and convert her to .10mm without having a new diet of tool steel?? Man that would be awesome, one of my favorite weapons in one of my favorite calibres! I know there are .357 Sig conversios done....the one I have shot was incredible!!!! Not only was it accurate as hell, the sonic boom would surely lift anyone on the recieving end off their feet if you DID manage to miss!!

unless you want to make it a single shot pistol, your not going to convert a 40 hi power to 10mm.

The magazine & mag well of the hi power are not large enough to accomodate the overall length of 10mm rounds. On top of that I doubt the HP can handle the 10mm.

The closest I think you will get to the feel of a HP in 10mm is the 10mm Witness pistols.

Yeah, I figured I was dreaming on that one, and I wasn't sure about the dimensions of the round or the areas of the HP to be concerned about. I guess I'll have to pick up that .40 Novak HP I saw the other day, and have Wayne do a .357 SIG barrell, etc to go with her!!
