yes it is. it requires a deft touch with the torch and tool. I have done caspians and para ord with total success. I like it for the extra surace area on the bottom of the triggergaurd, not necessarily for a finger hold on the front. The cast frames will take this mod well...I have an old nasty practice frame still around somewhere I will try and get a photo of.
