On another forum, Caspian's Gary Smith said that Ruger sent them notice that they will discontinue producing titanium castings at their Pine Tree facility. Apparently, Caspian was notified a couple of days ago, out of the blue.

Ruger cited the market loss from the influx of Chinese-made golf clubs as a reason.

I hate to say the sky is falling, but if any of you had a desire for a custom Ti framed 1911...You might hurry.

I don'r know about Ruger, but Taurus (forgive me God) is one of the largest casters of Titanium next to Ruger.

Anybody looking for a Ti Caspian Frame let me know. I have one I don't need.
