It sure has been too long not to post some photos of some fine guns coming from the shop. Rest assured there are some very nice guns being finished up and hopefully we get photos of as many as we can.

From time to time an idea gets thrown out and you either get a huge confirmation that it might work or the deadly silence of hesitation. When Ted told us he was going to do a stainless Series 70, with ivories, and nitre blued pins and screws there was the deadly silence of..................................hesitation. I thought "what in the hell is that going to look like?" I was confident it would be elegant, but too much? Well after walking in the shop the other day to finish a couple up Ted says "Hey that Series 70 is done"

Nothing but a huge "holy sh*t!!! came out of my mouth. The nitre is much more understated than I imagined and the rest of the gun just stated what Ted is known for, the traditional and classic Colt build that has slight variations but nonetheless elegant and all built to shoot.

The trigger is perfect and the machine work shares the same catagory. It was hard to photograph 40lpi hand checkering because those diamonds while sharp are not that big. The arrow pattern on the top strap is gracefully done and feathered in towards the front. A gold line front sight tops off the rest of the gun. Beveled and hand checkered mag release, and a serrated underneath side of the slide stop. There are alot of details to this gun, I know I missed some but I probably don't catch them all.

New camera equipment and I am still working out some minor issues. Hopefully a couple of these snaps do the gun justice.

It's scary to think of the level of skill required to do that checkering. Very nicely done pistol.

Gorgeous is all I can say. That gun is quite unique and totally beautiful.

I desparately need a set of those grips with the old emblem. You guys have any more? If so, Steve, can you drop me a PM?

I might have wondered how that was gonna look also.
But I guess there should have been no reason to worry. That looks very nice.
Very nice.

Did I say it was very nice?

HO-HUM. Just another beautifull masterpiece off of Ted's bench. So what is new. :D

Seriously this is one very nice blaster, and even nicer in person than Steve's great photos.

The holster is a full shark CQC rig done by none other than Lou Alessi. Beautifully done as you would expect. I just thought it went with the pistol.
