Would it be possible to build a custom Commander on a Caspian slide and frame in .357sig?I'd also like the pistol to be able to convert to 9mm with a barrel and mag swap.Any chance this could be done and be reliable?

First I am NOT a gunsmith but do not claim to be. Keep in mind the engineering required to do it and then the cost. The .357 SIG is a necked down .40 so there is bolt face "issues" and then the wider round in the mag well. You have ramp angle for different cartridges

That would be one project but one expensive project and would probably require an additional top end or slide.

The idea of dual caliber is great, but the easy way would be 357 sig and 40 s&w. Ask one of the Smiths here.
