I carried this pistol every day for one of three Vietnam tours, then for two tours in Thailand, and 12 years in the Philippines. It never let me down.
When I got back to the US I had Wayne Novak give it a trigger job, Novak LoMount Carry rear sight and movable front sight, and install Spegel Grips. I didn't have the heart to have it reblued. Those worn spots are like decorations. Since then I have taken seven two-day courses with it, and fired more than 5,000 rounds. It has never failed to feed, or to fire. Now, I treasure it too much to carry, not wanting to take the chance of losing it if I have to use it in the US. For now, its a Glock for daily carry.
