I just want to share my experience dealing with Hakan with you guys.
Hakan has been a pleasure to deal with and delivered exactly what I asked for. I find his stippling to be the perfect medium between smooth and rough.
Once I received my first pairs I just had to order more for my 1911 and a pair for my BHP. Now all I need is enough 1911s to fill the grips!
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!
My first pairs.

I would love to ger some of the grey grips for my current XR project from Caspian. Here is a sneak peak with the Hakan's that I have. How long is it taking to get grips these days from him? I know that he hurt is back (I can identify) and it has slowed him way down. Hope that he is doing better. I really need to email him and see how he is.

I waited about two months for two of the pairs that I ordered, but the others have come much faster. I think that they are well worth the wait.

My second order of grips came yesterday and let me tell you, these are the nicest grips I have ever held! Words just do not do them justice. I'll try and take some close-up pictures tomorrow and let you guys see for yourselves.

Hakan's grips are impressive; I have never seen such works of art made for our beloved 1911 pistols.

Pardon my ignorance, but how can I order from Hakan and what do these marvelous grips cost?

Hakan can be contacted at hakanpek@online.no His website is http://www.imageseek.com/hakan/

Hakan mentioned to me that he will be away from work for a little over a week, so it may take a while to get a response. I assume that the cost will depend on the type of wood and what you want done to it. I would ball-park the pice at $80 - $100. I sent Hakan most of the wood for my grips and had a rather large order so I'm not sure of the going price. I can tell you that they are well worth the money!

Hakan is incredible to deal with. He was injured for a while, and seemed to drop off the face of the planet. I'm glad to see that he is back to making grips.

Here are two of the sets that Hakan made for me that I donated to the LTW crew for use with some of their customs.

WOW! Those look great! Are they desert ironwood? Does anyone know of a good place to buy desert ironwood? I would love to send Hakan some more. I think that I could use a smooth pair.

If you Google "Arizona Desert Ironwood" you will find what you want.

Hakan did the rest.

That is where I bought mine. They have not put any more wood on their site in a LONG time.

Beauties! What would we do if all we had was a choice of cocobolo and walnut?

Sweet pics of fantastic Haken grips! I've got a few sets myself, and they are great.
