This evening whenI checked my emails after eating supper I saw an email from John titled your order. Wow, been bouncing around the house since driving my wife crazy! I cannot wait to get my Colt sent off to John on Monday. Sorry, just had to tell others who understand because to quote my wife "It must be something with testosterone."

Thank you smooth one. Once I get it back in a couple of weeks (4-6 hopefully!) I will post pics if John does not beat me to it when he finishes it up.

John received my pistol yesterday. This morning at about 8:15am CST I received a phone call from John. He had started to go over my pistol and had a couple of suggestions to add to what I had requested be done. Let me just say John is very pleasant to speak with and extremely knowledgeable. I went with everything he suggested. On top of this, the main reason he called was to say he could do things a little differently than I had requested and my pistol would turn out better. Now I understand why people who have pistols worked on by the 'smiths on this forum are so happy. I would be happy to reccomend John to anyone to have him work on their pistol and i have not even received it yet! I can only imagine what I will say in praise after I do get it back. Sorry for the neovel, just thought I should share my great experience with one of the 'smiths whose work all of us drool over.

Scott

No I didn't. Did you get my email requesting to have the barrel and feed ramp stippled?

Smooth,
That is in 8mm Nambu right? You may want to consider sharkskin for that feed ramp.

Sorry Ned, John did not say anything about an "accident" He just promised me a caliber
that represents the latest in tactical cutting edge technology. He said a gunbuilder in
Michigan had a boat load of these barrels.

Great googly moogly! John just emailed pictures of my Colt. He has all of the work done except the metal prep. From what I see so far it looks awesome. He is sending it off for bluing next week so it should only be a couple of more weeks. I can't wait to get it in hand and to the range. All I can say is sweeet!

And here is what it looked like when I sent it in, with different grips.

I hope everyone enjoys them!
