Here are a few snaps of a Series 70 I just finished with all of the usual internal upgrades. The finish is Enviro-Tech and is as black as Hillary's heart.:) The owner knew EXACTLY what he wanted this pistol to be. I hope he's pleased with the results.

Barrel is recessed and recrowned. The recoil spring plug is faced off smooth.

The Novak rear sight got a heavy melt.

Hope you enjoyed the unveiling. Black guns are a BEAR to photograph. This one ate light like a black hole!;)

As usual nice work Bob. PS, Hillary's heart isn't black. She just doesn't have one.

Nice work, especially on top of the slide, but then again the whole thing is spectactular. Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that an Ed Brown grip safety? Its just me, but I would have gone high polish blue on the flats.

That is fantastic, I especially like the recessed lanyard in the MSH.

Can you tell us a little more about the finish?

I have a S70 with shallow roll marks is this finish too thick for shallow rollmarks?

God Bless

Great looking pistol, what bushing did you use? Is it thicker than usual, or are my eyes playings tricks... EIther way looks very nicely done. Also curious about the finish.

I remember writing those very words on a work order for a blue job at Gunsite many years ago. Ted laughed and as I was in a hurry to take EAGLE TWO up to Colorado on a trip north, He said "Sit your old butt down and I will fire up the tanks!" He blued the gun and two hours later, we were on the way home! Now there is a good man! That is typical of Ted!

Hey Bob! NICE GRIPS!

Just woofin'. That is a spendid looking 1911! I really do love the grips, too!

That is one nice setup. I love the grips, the color and finish, the grips...that is just a sweet gun.

Hats off to you and it's owner.
Bob

Wow!! What a great looking gun! At first glance it looks like it is all business however, as one looks closer it has all of the "finer" attributes one looks for in a full blown custom. Great job!

I truly love a nicely dehorned 1911 and yours is by far the nicest I have seen. Exceptional work......and if the owner doesn't like it....send it and the bill to me......Ill give it a good home.
