Just read this on Mr. Heinie’s website “Heinie Specialty Products, Inc. is no longer accepting any pistolsmithing work.”.

Could it be that Mr. Heinie is retiring? Anyone know either way?

I think he cuts off the list now and then to get caught up some. In fact, I think the list is closed more than open.

I doubt it. Between his outstanding waiting list and his sight business he has more than enough to keep him busy until he retires some where down the road.

He loves his work and his toys...he will be working until he goes to that big Corvette show in the sky!

At least I hope he will be....

If you read down his announcement a ways you will notice that he specifically says he is not retiring. Dick is simply wanting to catch up on work and maintain the quality he is known for. He is now offering packages that have fewer options; one that is comparable to Baer, Yost, Wilson, et. al. and one that is a very high package with all hand fitting and checkering. The wait is long but worth it. Besides, he has the SSC/Nationals to maintain.
