Allegedly, but there are some minute differences. The one I just measured was both wider and deeper as to dovetail measurements.

I wonder sometimes if they make the Wilsons a tad larger so that a guy can slightly re-cut the cuts for a proper, drive-fit-- as opposed to making them small enough to slide into any cut.

Ned, That might be, but I strongly suspect that most of their sights go into Wilson made guns. You are right however that having a new sight that's larger than the existing cut is preferable to the alternative.
