Most of the work on this one was done by Scott Mulkerin. It's one of my all-time favorite 1911's. Not too fancy, but is very accurate and very reliable.

It was blue for a while but gets a lot of hard use, and I got tired of rebluing it every year so I got it hardchromed a while ago. Low maintenance, but I dislike silver guns:

Here is my NRM 1991A1 just back from John Harrison. I got to the range tonight and it shot perfectly!

The Commander is built on an 80 Series Enhanced model. It was given the following modifications:

Bar-Sto Match Grade Barrel and Bushing
French Bordered Side
Novac sights with Tritium inserts
Accu-Rails ( I love these)
20 LPI Checkering on front strap and MSH
Tim’s Super-Well and custom made grips
Tim’s aluminum trigger
New internal components
Ed Brown thumb safety and grip safety expertly fitted by Tim
Recessed and beveled slide stop
Detail complete pistol
Slide – Master grade Blue
Frame – Hard Chromed
This is a great gun for carry and is dead nuts for accuracy. :P

WOW!!!!
Thoes guns are ALL works of art!!!!!

I cant wait to do the following to mine......
accurized
lighter trigger
new sights
combat hammer
beaver tail
and a good polish job (its stainless but needs some bling)

What is a ball park price that I would be looking at for the above? and who wants to do my Colt?

I'm not Ted but his prices are listed on his website, both a la carte and package cost.

Just send your Colt to any of the LTW pistolsmiths and let them do their magic, the only limit of what can be done is your credit card :)

Keep the KRaptor until your Colt is back then sell the Kimber. Your Colt will be much better than any factory production line guns you've ever shot.

The custom work on mine was courtesy of John Harrison... he did an extraordinary job on this gun and went to great lengths to meet an unusual request of mine. His professionalism and talent are awesome.

Here is mine. It was sold before I learned how to use my camera. Most of the work was internal and was done by Marianne Carniak.
