I've posted photos of my Yost customized Hi Power before, but the long lost partner has returned home:

Image

I have large hands, and never liked the Hi Power until a visit to Yost~Bonitz Custom. Ted was showing me some of the projects he was working on, and one was a Hi Power. That forever changed my opinion of the Grand Puissance. The pistol in the background was the first one Ted built for me. I like it so much, I asked Ted to build another. The results are in the following pictures. Thanks Ted!

They are not quite a perfectly matched pair... that's hard to do when the guns are built years apart. But they ARE close.

Hammer bite is ALWAYS an issue for me. The beavertail solves that for me.

This pair is about a closely matched as one could expect, short of having them built at the same time. It's mostly subtle things.. The new one has the trigger overtravel reduction. :) It's absolutely the best Hi Power trigger I have ever felt.

Mark,

Since there's really no good reason to have two pistols that are so much alike I'll be glad to take that old one off your hands .... :D

Have a great Holiday season !!!!

Ya see? This is the sort of thing that caused me to send off a HiPower.
The more you see them here, the more you will want one.
So you might as well send them in, because the longer you put it off, the longer it is until you have it back.

Just go ahead and bite that 9mm bullet.

Nice pair, Mark (like you've never heard that before). They are closely matched. The only external difference I see is the "Y" on one and not the other, and maybe only one has rear slide serrations.
That trigger is neat, isn't it? There's no way I can send all of mine in, but I'd like to send a couple more just for the trigger.
