Is it an easy thing to change a hammer on a BHP. I know I could send it back to Novaks or another smith but if its something I can do at the house and not screw up a nice trigger job I would rather just do it quick and save some shipping charges. I had Novaks change my hammer to a C&S series II and it bites me bad. Its the only hammer that has ever made me bleed. This hammer may look nice on a gun, but it sucks for carry use. Here is a picture, and if anyone can walk me through the process that would be nice. If it is something that has to be sent out then thats what I will do. Thanks for any help.

Steve Camp has published a couple of manuals on the Hi Power. One is on disassembly/reassembly. It has good descriptions and pics. I'll have to look for his site info.

Do yourself a favor, don't try it yourself.

Changing a hammer involves a lot more than simply swapping out the part. Your dealing with things that directly effect the safety and reliability of the weapon. Have a good 'smith, familiar with the Hi-Power do it for you.
