I was just admiring athe photo's of the shot show 1911's and noticed also in a few other photo's of recent offerings that there seems to be a lot of what appear to be .220 radius beavertail grip safeties on some of the recent colts. Just wondering if there were more orders for them as of late or if the trend is leaning more towards them or if it is a cosmetic thing. I personally dont have a prefrence just an observation not knit picking as they look fabulous! And the shot show pairs look amazing guys.

Personally, I have more calls for the "Ed Brown" style safety, though they don't apply themselves to Springfield frames unless some material is added to the frame. The only time I use the .220 radius safeties is for SA applications unless the customer requests it. Best,

Thanks Don. I never can seem to get the .220's to look as nice on the springer's as I get the .250's on colts. Just noticed I am seeing a lot more .220's on colts hmmmm... Maybe I'll give it a shot on my next project.
