Greetings to all,
I have an enhanced series 80 LW Commander that I am considering as using as a base for my 2007 project pistol.I have heard they are one of the few companies to offer a chrome - like finish on alloy frames.Before committing to the project,I am trying to weigh all of my options for finishes.Any comments are welcome,as I'm kind of partial to the looks as well as durability of chrome.

Im not sure whether Metaloy does aluminum frames, however I had a Ross Carter tuned STI Hard Chromed by Metaloy and it was well done.
I did have an alloy Baer refinshed by Metalife in their version of hard chrome and they did a great job, including removing some pitting on the slide as well as a ding on the frame. Very reasonable price, and turnaround was six or seven weeks. Good luck

Accurate Plating does Hard Chrome on Aluminum frames. They did a light weight Officers Model for me several years ago and it tuned out very nice.

How is it holding up? Any peeling or flaking on the frame rails?
