Barry's post about his new YoBo SRT made me decide to share some pics of the Novak Hi Power that I received Friday a week ago.

Specs:

Hard Chrome 9mm BHP
Home Defense Package
Novak Night Sights Installed
Reliability Package
Combat Trigger Job
Crown Barrel
No-Bite Hammer mod
Craig Spegel Grips
Sight-in Reliability Test

My first range trip on Saturday was a treat. POA/POI are dead on, and the Spegel grips feel great. It digested about 200 rds. of WWB 115 gr. FMJ, Federal 124 gr. HydraShok and Hornady 147 gr. TAP without a hiccup. Nice crisp trigger (a bit on the heavy side), and the overall fit is very nice.

Of course, I'll be just as thrilled as Barry is when my package arrives from Yost-Bonitz. They're building me a 1* Elite (with a few extras) on a Series 80 Colt. I'm hoping it's only a couple of months away!!

Thanks for looking ....

:D

Then you'll be a happy guy!

That's a nice HiPower.
It's interesting to see that, and Y-B BHP, or some others, to see similarities, differences, and ways to achieve the same goals. A collection of all types would be fun, huh?

Well, when the BHP bug bit my first call was to Jason at YoBo. When I heard the lead time I was crushed. My next call was to Cylinder & Slide and their lead time was 6 to 8 month!! Novak was next on the list, and he just happened to have this one in stock! So, I grabbed it.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to get rid of that gawd-awful GOLD trigger ... :D

Enjoy your SRT ....

And, best wishes for the holiday season ....

I too was bitten by the BHP bug about a month back after previewing all this site had to offer in the way of pictures, editorials and customs. The last time I believe I actually held and fired on was back in 1980's while on assignment training with the SAS.

I recently traded one of my colts for a nicely appropriated Novak HP from a member on this site. Fondling it, I was immediately transfered back to the 18 months I spent in England. I have the one with a beavertail and simply adore the journey.
