As I have said elsewhere, I am building a custom Commander size carry gun on Caspian frame & slide. I have a New Colt barrel I can use but is this going to be able to be fit tightly in the slide or should I use a match barrel? I was told that my first chice, Kart, was not available in 4.25 lenght.
What would be the best match and value?
Thanks,
Marsh

Marsh, You can get Kart barrels in Commander length, but you have to order them directly from Kart. Regards,

Thanks Don, but what about being able to fit the new Colt barrel? Will that work as well in case I elect to use that?

Marsh, Under the circumstances, I'd just go with the Colt barrel you have. Their barrel quality is really very good, and fitting it up with a match bushing will likely give you all the accuracy you could normally want. Regards,

Marsh, for what it's worth, I've got two Colt's that Don has built and one built by Yo-Bo. All three have the Colt barrel in them. They are every bit as accurate as the stuff I've had built with a Kart barrel.

More encouragement. Great, that'll save me some bucks.
