I've been looking at having my BHP customized, and after much consideration will be sending it off to Don W. Don if you are reading this...don't forget to call me when you're accepting work again!

While looking through some custom work online I stumbled across Fletcher Customs out of VA and he looks like he has produced some nice work. I really liked the 1911 on his front page and his BHP looks great - not a lot of smiths will hand checker these and his looks pretty clean. Has anyone here ever seen or handled any of his firearms in person? I'd really like to hear the input of those here who've handled work from the well known smiths that lurk this forum. FYI his prices seem pretty fair as well.

While I was still living in Northern Virginia, I had the opportunity to handle a couple of pistols that he had worked on for one of my friends. One was a slicked up .38 S&W (can't remember if it was a chief's special or a centennial) and the other was a very lightly customized BHP. While I'm no expert, the work looked very clean and well done on both pistols and my buddy is very pleased with the work and the service that he got. I must say that in many years of carrying a weapon both on and off duty, that was one of the nicest little .38's I have ever handled with a SWEET trigger. The only other things I ever heard about his operation locally was good and he seems to enjoy a good reputation among his customers.
