I just finished this pistol and sent it to the customer. It has my staggered borders, re-engraved Delta Elite stamp, Ivory grips, Accu-Rails, Kart barrel and bushing, 25LPI checkering, Heinie Magwell, and a lot of time behind the polishing wheel.

I definetly need to try different approaches to lighting and picture taking, but here you go.

Thanks for looking.

First I've seen of staggered borders. Elegant touch!

Very nice. And very shiny.
You can't spray that on!

That's the first I've heard of staggered borders, also.
My wife likes Art Deco styling, and I could see some staggered borders going into an Art Deco 1911. Hmmmm..

I can't say that I have ever seen anybody do the borders like that. I did them on my .38 Super race gun a few years ago on a whim while I was building it.

I don't know if it's been done before, but it would be cool to "be the first" on some options.

Thanks for all the comments,
Bob

Bob,
Great looking gun!
Perfect machine work and incredible polishing and bluing.
And I do believe you are the first with the staggered french cuts. I guess we'll be calling them Miller cuts now.
:D

That might not go over too well on the El Centro 38 super polished model (politically incorrect  )

Nothing sets a 1911 off like ball cuts. Great job...

Very nice execution, Bob. The staggered borders are a nice & clean addition. Well thought out.
