This gun will soon be (reluctantly) sent back to Florida, so I thought I would snap a few pictures. What started out as an inquiry for a set of Bocote stocks turned into to a FedEx delivery. Three months later and countless emails and phone calls, this is the result. This piece includes several touches influenced by the fine ‘smiths displaying their work here. A brief rundown of the build:

Harrison Design Bushing and Plug Set
Legacy Custom Mainspring Housing and Hand-filed magwell, checkered 20 LPI
Round butt conversion with handmade Bocote and Black Walnut stocks
EGW Magazine Catch, beveled and checkered 50 LPI
Rear of Slide Serrated 50 LPI
Frame tangs welded for a re-fit Wilson Grip Safety
Tightened Slide-to-Frame fit
Recrowned barrel with Crosshatch polished barrel hood
EGW Slide Stop flattened and recessed, serrated 50 LPI
Dehorn and bevel sharp edges
Graphite Black Cerakote over Maganese Phosphate
…and a few things I am likely forgetting

Enough rambling, enjoy the pics, and thanks for looking!

Very nice work Dave. Love the muzzle crown and the slide stop looks beautiful. The close up of the finish has an interesting appearance. Almost kinda like a crinkle coat type finish really....interesting.

Keep up the good work Dave, looking forward to seeing more work and sending you that small project I have. :D
