Hey Pete here is the frame that you sold me. Don't mind some of the fouling.

Gun was built by pistol dynamics for limited 10 but without all of the junk on a limited gun. I still prefer simple. Standard non ramped 40cal barsto barrel, gold bead front sight with interchangable fiber optic sight, reasonable weight trigger. I really like the Browning cuts and checkering Paul did on the rear of the slide and sight. The standard length guide rod was a bit of surprise but I really like the look of a closed plug. It was tuned for Win white box 40cal and runs perfectly with Speer lawman as well.

Very nice Gary. Do you ever make it up to the USPSA matches at Old Bridge? I would love to see that gun in person.

I get to Oldbridge a couple of times per year but usually I'm at Central Jersey. Next time I go I'll give you a shout.

Gary, I'll pm you with my home telephone number. Call me the next time you are going to be at Old Bridge. CJ falls on the same day as the Old Bridge IDPA match that I help run.

I do not generally like forward cocking serrations and during competition I do use the front of the gun to do a quick press check. The cuts make this a little easier than with nothing at all but never the less it is purely a cosmetic enhancment. The ball cuts with HP cut is sort of a Pistol Dynamics trademark.

I have seen more smith's do a bad job of replicating the Hi Power cuts on a 1911. Pistol Dynamics is one of the few that does it right. I'm betting they gave you more than just and adequate trigger pull. Those guys really know their stuff.

I am not an "STI person". I guess I am enough of a dinosaur to only gravitate to steel or alloy firearms..... and with no "plastic" for the most part. HOWEVER that being said, I really do like the clean work and the basic simplicity of that particular piece. I could even go for one like that myself. Beautiful execution and well-planned.
Best regards,
Jeffro (Jeff Harris)
