My former well used MilSpec went off to my local gunsmith Henry Avant. I must tell you, he is the nicest guy and did an AMAZING trigger job. It shoots better than my TRP!!! Silly me went and gave it to my son, who recently turned 18 and graduated from High school. He promptly shot a Mt Dew bottle off some rebar at about 60 feet, and then was dropping used up shot gun shells at about 20 feet, did I mention he is 18, he has really good eyes.

This is what was done:

Springfield Milspec 1911
Complete trigger job for reliability.
Recut slide and added Tritium sites by Champion.
Added EGW flat MSH and Mag well ext.
Recoated in black KG.
New Springs.

I most definitely am sending a Christmas card to my smith along with more money for another toy.

Henry Avant is his name Saw Customs is the company, he is a 3 Gun tactical competitor and builds 1911's, AR's and Shotguns.

I will ask him if its okay to post his info.

His trigger work is amazing!

That reminds me of my SA/Gunsite Service Pistol, right down to the grips. Everything you need and nothing that you don't.
