I sent this off in Febuary and I recieved it back from EGW by UPS on Thursday. (I hate UPS, they left it sitting on the front porch even though my wife was home!)

I had it built for my son and was planning on giving it to him on his 16th birthday but my just wrap it up and give it to him next month on his first birthday!

seeing as how the E treat finish is very wear resistant, it probably wouldn't do any harm to, y'know, break the pistol in a bit before you give it to him, iron out any wrinkles and such...

5-6000 rounds should probably be about right....

Jeez, I got our first kid a Chipmunk rifle and and am having trouble parting with that!

That came out great.
Was it one of your carry guns before, or did you pick it up just for this project?

I've had it for about 6 years. I got a good deal on it because the barrel was bulged. I carried it for static display and parades until I had the excellent idea to have it worked over for my son. I will have to make sure it works before he gets to use it :)

Looks good!

....but in the second to last picture it looks like the front sight is off a bit :wink: .

I can't wait for mine to come back from Jason Burton so that I will have something to show off.
